About Us
Artemis Outfitting is family run business owned and operated by Hans Muenchow. He is a trapper and outfitter by trade and has been guiding hunts in his area for over 28 years! As a longtime member of the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association, Artemis operates on approx. 1,000 square miles for bear hunts and approx. 2,000 square miles for deer hunting. Spending plenty of time in the bush through hunting, trapping and guiding, combined with pre-season scouting, assures hunters only the best stand locations and hunting areas with the most recent activity.
Meals are prepared by his wife and are second to none when it comes to variety, quality and quantity. You will leave camp heavier than when you arrive I promise you!
Hans is an active hands-on owner/operator/guide for his hunts and is assisted by his son-in-law James, one of the hardest working and knowledgeable licensed guides any outfitting business could ask for.
Transportation and access to stand locations is provided by any combination of ATV's, Argo or 4WD vehicles. Depending on your stand location you may only travel a short distance on up to 6-8 miles. Walking distance to your stand location typically ranges 10-50 yards. The hunting area is mostly flat, very remote and limited tag quotas assure trophy quality runs high!
Travel to camp is fairly easy. For those wishing to drive directions are provided. For airline travel, plans should be made to arrive and depart from Winnipeg International Airport only a short 1 1/2 hr. drive from camp. Arrangements can be made for airport pick-up and drop-off and should be planned well in advance.
